IRPC
Initiative for Rehabilitation and Palliative Care
IRPC is a volunteer organisation set up in the year 2012 in Kannur district for giving palliative care services. It undertake all palliative services including palliative care, rehabilitation etc. A home care team consisting of 2500 trained volunteers does the services. There is a governing body and an advisory body at district level and there are 18 zonal committees, self government level committees, 215 local level groups; each group having a minimum of 5 women and 5 men for the services. It associates with the local government institutions in giving the services.

What We Did
Our Recent Activities
An in-house palliative care centre (IRPC palliative centre) is functioning at Thayyil, Kannur. Blood donating forces are established at local level. A rehabilitation centre is being set up at Malappattam, Kannur. Foundation stone is laid for the building. Home care services are being given throughout the district on Krishnapilla day and on Paliative day; January 15 and rendering various helps. Local level meetings of senior citizen are held. Medical camps are conducted and gave various services.
